Virtual events offer participants the opportunity to participate remotely.
Yes! Results are submitted by the participants. You can use any app or device to track your run. To submit results, you have the option to connect to Strava, upload a GPX file, or enter your time manually.
Yes! Because the results are user-submitted and everyone is running on different courses, the rankings are not official.
This varies by event and is at the discretion of the event organizers. Events hosted by Sportstats offer the opportunity for participants to win random draw prizes.
Virtual racing offers events the opportunity to bring everyone together while maintaining the social distancing that our current situation dictates.
The results submission window varies by event. Event dates are noted on the event page.
Due to the nature of virtual racing, rankings can change. Results are considered final once the submission window has closed.
The cost is included and part of your entry fee. There is no additional cost to submit results on Sportstats.
Sportstats wants to make sure that you are not a robot and that there is a real person participating! We will not sell or distribute your information.
This varies by event and is coordinated by the event organizers.
95% of the funds from events are spent in the months leading up to the event on things like securing permits, vendor deposits, purchasing t-shirts and medals, etc. Most events are not able to offer a refund. Please check with the event organizer for more information about options for your entry.

Step 1- Go to the Event Site and click on View Virtual Event for the race you would like to submit a result for.
Step 2- Click on submit results. (Marked as 1 in the first image)
Step 3- Click on GPX Upload. (Marked as 2 in the first image).
Step 4- If you are not already logged in, it will prompt you to login to your sportstats account.

Step 5- Add your file where it says Drag and drop a file here or click. (Marked as 4 in the second image). Select the race you are uploading your result to in the dropdown if it is not already selected then select upload. If you check off share my route with other members they will be able to see your route map from your gpx file.
Step 6- Once your result is submitted you can access it via the my results tab in your dashboard or by selecting view results for that event.

Step 3- Click on Manual to manually enter a time (Marked as 3 in the first image).
Step 4- If you are not already logged in, it will prompt you to login to your sportstats account.

Step 5- To manually enter your time you will be prompted to enter the hours (HH), minutes (MM ) and seconds (SS) of your time as well as the distance in metres and date. Select the race you are uploading your result to in the dropdown if it is not already selected then select sumbit result.
Step 6- Once your result is submitted you can access it via the my results tab in your dashboard or by selecting view results for that event.
The elapsed time in your gpx file will upload as your final time.
At this time we can only accept GPX format files. We hope to add other formats at a later time.
Yes! You can complete the upload process as many times as you like during the results submission window. The result that will appear will always be your most recently uploaded result, regardless of whether it is a faster or slower time.
Your time can take up to 2 minutes to appear in the results once you have uploaded them. If you still don't see them at that point feel free to contact our support team: Suport Site
Please contact the event organizers for information on how to register for that event.
The triathlon or duathlon results must be uploaded in different files - one for each leg of the race. We cannot accept a GPX file that includes multiple legs of a multisport event at this time.
You can add photos using our My Media page. Once you are logged in, open your dashboard and click on My Media. You can click on Add Media to add any pictures from your virtual race.
The first time you click on Connect with Strava, you will be prompted to authorize ss-vr to connect to Strava and you will need to log in to your Strava account. Once your Strava account is connected, you will be able to select your race and segment and import the Strava activity of your choice.
